Presidential debates come and go, with very few memorable moments from either democrat or republican debates since people rarely go off script for fear it will ruin everything for them. Oh sure, we’ve had our Dukakis moments, our Quayle moments, but in a world where everything is offensive and blown out of proportion, the extreme caution of the Republican debate over the years has left us starved for anything to enjoy. Sometimes in life, however, heroes step forward. They might have oddly coiffed hair, and they may have gotten sick of playing by society’s rules so they take up the mantle of the hero. He may not be the hero we need right now, but Donald Trump is the hero we deserve. From the very first moment of the Republican debate, he destroyed any semblance of being politically correct and exploded onto the battlefield taking away the weapon of choice used by everyone else, the sound bite. Incriminating sound bites have no
effect on Trump, for he does not give a shit. Being rich is a powerful ability in the fight for president. The night only got better as it went on, especially with the very sassy Megyn Kelly giving him some tough questions. In fact, Megyn Kelly was rather on-point and articulate while being very well-researched on the issues, I almost forgot she works for Fox News. Then I remembered she’s a stunning blonde, which Fox News has an exclusive contract for in their female reporter department. In the days after the debate the inevitable battle between Trump and Megyn Kelly started with comments about her being unfair or possibly being on the rag. Nevertheless, a good time was had by all – even Chris Christie and Rand Paul got in on the fun. Listen to hear our full Republican debate coverage.
Reddit, the site where unemployed millenials go to complain about their joblessness while LOLing at cat pictures and being offended by everything, has gone through a rough time over the past couple months. Subreddits getting banned due to their offensive nature, CEOs quitting, employees fired for mysterious reasons are all events that have sent the hive into a feeding frenzy. But what happens when there’s really nothing to feed on? The power that be over at Reddit seem to be trying to find a way to create a site that pleases everyone, which will earn them only more hatred because of hive mind logic. When there’s nothing for the hive to feed on, they turn on each other. Anything posted will come under extreme criticism and attack, usually for being offensive or insensitive or whatever fake non-emotion they can muster up to still feel like mommy’s special, unique snowflake really was meant to do great things but until that happens their criticisms will have to suffice. Usually their comments start with “As a ____, I can tell you…” with the blank being anything from a nursing student to a business student to an English major to a whatever else you can think you’re an expert on by taking one class. The only statement that should be used on reddit when it comes to criticism or advice is “As a barista, I can tell you that getting $100k in student loans without a real plan in place for what to do after school is probably indicative of why I’m a barista.”
If you’re over the age of 25 you probably remember the Berenstain bears. More likely, however, is that you remember the BerenSTEIN bears. The spelling seems to always be remembered as stein, not stain. Yet, looking it up shows everywhere having it as stain. So why do we all remember it differently? When did aliens come and create a time paradox to change the letter in our beloved children’s books? What is their end game? And what the hell are the bears saying in the opening theme song to the TV show???
