Glenn Beck is neat. He was a morning zoo radio host, then went to be on Fox News where he combined Fox’s comical “Fair and Balanced” with his own brand of “Fairly Unbalanced.” Multiple chalkboards, whiteboards, diagrams, signage, graphs and props were used to convey Glenn Beck’s theories. His show often resembled scenes from “A Beautiful Mind” except instead of being brilliant and crazy, Glenn Beck is a dunce and crazy. Coincidentally, this makes for a very entertaining show, but he was too crazy even for Fox News, so they shit-canned him. He started his own network, The Blaze, where he is now free to spew his frothy lunacy like an unending bubbling, babbling volcano of idiocy. That, dear listeners, is where we reap the rewards here on The Devil’s Advocates. You see, Glenn Beck and his co-hosts and team members like to make zany, funny videos to illustrate complicated subjects as simple to understand, so long as you agree with Glenn’s side of things. Fine. However, doing this regarding the subject of rape is bound to piss some people off. Which their recent video did… but apparently Glenn Beck does not like the amount of hatred he got over this video, so he went on his show and started whimpering like an injured fawn about his father being raped by lots of men, including his grandfather. The rabbit hole never ends with him, so this week we take you on a journey into the mind of a crazy, victim-playing, ignorant, theatrical half-wit.
We then play the actual video in question, which essentially mocks women and being raped, and we find ourselves in an unlikely position: defending women against the ignorance of people like Glenn Beck! This truly is an episode of devil’s advocates- like the detestable white knights of the internet, we come rushing to the defense of women. This is something we normally despise, but the rape video in question is possibly the first thing we’ve ever seen that’s actually more offensive than our show. It’s that ridiculous. We’re still confused how this happened. Luckily this episode also has stories of creepy gym teachers and more dating blunders to level us back off to our typical level of stunted growth.
